What's your belt rank in BJJ?

Just to get an idea of everyone's level of experience. Bc a lot of times when people post, their knowledge in explaining techniques is far superior than their applied knowledge on the mats. So you can give belt color, number of stripes if you want and what academy you train under, or school.

I am a 1 stripe blue belt under a purple belt. He trains under Larry Shealy, Gracie Barra black belt.

• How to get good isn’t a big secret. Get on the mats, get good instruction and do conditioning, drilling or sparring. Gameplans, flow charts, notebooks, journals and instructionals are gravy. Training is the meat and potatoes.

Tactics from starting position?

guillotine, any tips?

Ok, so now i've joined up to this plethora of wisdom and experience, I'm trying to get a guillotine to work, i know it's meant to be done as a choke, but i know it can be done as a strangle instead. however, whenever i try i just end up yanking the persons head outwards instead. how do you make it so the strangle comes on rather than the choke or neck crank (or any ...
